I’m Jeffrey.  Thanks for checking out my blog!  I’ve been married to Amy for 15 years and we have three great kids (Anna, Emily and John Harmon).  Along with my family and some super star friends, I founded and planted Longleaf Church in Warner Robins, GA.  Longleaf launched on 9.12.10

Before moving into ministry world, I enjoyed a ten year career with State Farm Insurance, including several years in the entrepreneurial role of State Farm Agent.  I’m a family fanatic, sports fan, outdoor enthusiast and an amateur writer.  I like to share encouraging anecdotes about the simple things in life that reflect the greater truths of life.  Sometimes, I write feature posts about other people who have an encouraging anecdote to share.

It seems that everyone’s exposed to tremendous amounts of negativity on a weekly basis, so I decided to focus my blog on interjecting a little encouragement.  My blog will focus on 5 common contexts.  They’re not all inclusive, but rather they’re broad and relevant.  The contexts are: Family, Growth, Culture, Relationships and Fried Grits (yep, that last one is unique). I promise that my blog will offer conversational reflections about life that are authentic, relevant and helpful.  Another focus for my blog is to rally people around a few great causes at certain points throughout the year.  Those causes currently include two organizations called charity: water and Rice Bowls.
